There are a few magazines that are a given on my nightstand. They include: Reader's Digest, The Quarter Horse Journal, and The Wrangler Horse and Rodeo News.

A friend introduced me to Bookbub.com This awesome website sends me an email every day with a list of books that I might like to read. Some are free, and some cost a small fee. The books are downloaded from Amazon to my Kindle app on my Ipad. It is awesome! I can read young adult, kidlit, romance, mysteries, cookbooks...anything my heart desires, for free or a very low price! Check it out!
I am currently on a romance jag. The public library had a bunch on their read and return rack. I firmly believe that one can read just for fun, and that it doesn't always have to be educational.

Waiting to be read are the Nancy Drew books. I loved them as a child, and decided I will revisit them!
Finished -
The Dressmakers of Auschwitz by Lucy Adlington. It is the true story of the women who sewed to survive.
The Truth About Alice by Jennifer Mathieu. An excellent young adult novel about bullying.
The Lost and Found Bookstore by Susan Wiggs. A fun read, as her books always are!
The Maine Justice Series by Susan Page Davis. This is a series of mysteries/dramas about a family engaged in law enforcement. The entire series captured my interest!
The Lady Rode Bucking Horses The Story of Fannie Sperry Steele Woman of the West by Dee Marvine. A look at early 1900s rodeo and history of the west, particularly Montana.
The series, Orphan Train - Hearts on the Rails by Rachel Wesson. I highly recommend it! This was a Bookbub.com find.
Judgement Ridge The True Story of the Dartmouth Murders by Dick Lehr and Mitchell Zuckhoff. This book details a tragedy on many levels, from the people who were randomly murdered, to the two young killers who slipped through the cracks and were able to commit their crimes.
The You I Never Knew, by Susan Wiggs was definitely a cute, engaging read.
I finished all the Promise, Texas books by Debbie Macomber, with the exception of the last one in the series. I will have to find that one somewhere.
The Last Apache Girl by Jim Fergus. An outstanding look at the clash between Native Americans and the Mexican and American settlers.
Don't Forget to Water the Horses by Ron Roberson. This book is about a Wyoming cowboy and his life, particularly as a lawman and stock detective.
Black Storm Comin' by Diane Lee Wilson. This young adult novel chronicles the experiences of a young man on a wagon train journey to California, and his job as a Pony Express rider.
And many, many more!
